Treatment under general anaesthetic
Treatment under general anaesthetic
Some of our patients wish to have certain treatments, such as the fitting of tooth implants, carried out under general anaesthetic. We are pleased to accommodate such wishes!
A team of anaesthetists attend to our patients before, during and after the operation and monitor the patient's condition to ensure that everything goes smoothly throughout the operation.
Operations are carried out under so-called "analgosedation". This is a form of deep sleep in which the patient remains cooperative. In contrast to intubation anaesthesia, the patient comes around very quickly after the operation and does not suffer from any undesired side-effects such as nausea. Our general anaesthetic is administered in accordance with your individual needs and precision-timed to induce the minimum strain on your body.
All operations under general anaesthetic are carried out in our in-house operating section. Beds are also available to enable our patients to stay overnight under surveillance.
